Incident summary Nightshift 06 November 2018

7th November 2018

Sherburn in Elmet – Time of call 18:04

Crews from Tadcaster responded to calls of a fire seen in the open, this was a false alarm due to controlled burning.

Haxby Road, York – Time of call 18:38

York Crews responded to a climbing frame on fire in a public playpark. Crews extinguished using 1 hose reel.

Haxby – Time of call 18:40

Huntington crews responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

York – Time of call 21:02

Crews from Acomb and York responded to calls of smoke issuing from residential property. This was a false alarm due to smoking.

York – Time of call 22:20

York crews responded to an automatic alarm activation. This was a false alarm.

Skipton – Time of call 22:47

Skipton crews responded to calls of a boiler fire inside a public property. Fire out on arrival of Fire Service.

Leeming Bar – Time of call 23:35

Bedale crews responded to an automatic fire alarm. This was a false alarm.

Camblesforth – Time of call 00:20

Crews from Selby and Snaith responded calls of gas cylinders leaking, this was a false alarm due to faulty water treatment system.

East Pier Scarborough – Time of call 01:02

Scarborough crews attended a bin fire on a pier in the harbour, extinguished using 1 hose reel jet. The cause is believed to be deliberate

Boroughbridge – Time of call 02:49

Boroughbridge crew responded to an automatic fire alarm. This was a false alarm due to dust.

Settle – Time of call 04:18

Settle crew responded to an automatic fire alarm. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.

York – Time of call 05:05

York crew responded to a call from a carer in a rest home after an elderly female resident’s arm became stuck in a bed frame. Firecrews released the female.
