Incident Summary Day Shift, Wednesday 7th November

 In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred

 Small Fire, Chop Gate, nr Stokesley TOC    08:58

 A crew from Stokesley attended a fire seen by a member of the public who was concerned at smoke drifting across a roadway, on arrival this was found to be controlled burning under supervision.

 Fire Alarm,  Sherburn in Elmet TOC:   09:45

A crew from Tadcaster attended a report of an alarm sounding, on arrival this was found to be due to testing of the system

 Property Fire,  Lendl York TOC:   11:20

Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington attended a report of a fire in a hotel, on arrival the fryer in the ground floor kitchen was alight, staff had used fire blankets to try and extinguish the fire, crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a dry powder extinguisher and foam extinguisher to put the fire out and a positive pressure fan to ventilate the property.   Fire alarms were fitted and raised the alarm and the premises had evacuated prior to arrival.  There was fire damage to the fryer only and smoke damage to the room of origin only.  The cause is believed to have been an electrical fault.

 Road Traffic Collision, A684   Constable Burton TOC    14:51

Crews from Leyburn and Ripon attended a road traffic collision involving a van carrying milk, crews assisted in preventing the milk entering any water courses.
