Product Recalls
Hundreds of products are recalled every year due to safety concerns such as risk of fire or electric shock.
According to Electrical Safety First the success rate of product recalls in the UK is just 10-20%, meaning that there could be a number of recalled items still in use in your home.
We would always recommend registering your electrical appliances so that you can be made aware if a product is recalled. We would also recommend that you always follow manufacturer’s instructions.
The register my appliance website allows you to register your products so that you can informed of any repairs or recalls http://www.registermyappliance.org.uk/
Details of products that have been recalled can be accessed on the Electrical Safety First website http://www.electricalsafetyfirst.org.uk/

The affected brands are:

Update February 2017- Whirlpool is now advising that if your tumble dryer is affected by this issue then you should unplug it and do not use it until the modification has taken place.
