Incident Summary 19 April Night Shift

20th April 2021

18:09 Barlby Road, Barlby, Selby

A crew from Selby attended an incident involving a fire under a small pile of logs. Crews extingusihed the fire and dampened down the area using one hose reel jet. The cause is believed to be deliberate

A crew from Acomb assisted carers gain entry to a property where a patient had fallen behind a door.

18:33 A1 J44 to J43- False alarm good intent- overheated brakes on LGV

19:01 Barlby Road, Barlby, Selby

Crews were approached by a teenager who had cuts to their hands. Crews provided first aid using alcohol wipes and bandage.

19:15 Wycar, Bedale

A crew from Bedale attended reports of a fence on fire in the rear garden of a property. The fire was out on their arrival but they used a hose reel jet to dampen down.

A crew from York and one from Acomb attended an incident involving fire to plastic in an oven. Two breathing appartus , one hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera used

21:14 Rosewood Crescent, Harrogate

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough attended an incident where a BBQ caused a petrol can to ignite spreading the fire to back door of the property. The fire caused 5% heat damage to the door. Crews extinguished the fire and gave advice. One hose reel used.

22:42 High Street, Eastfield, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended a small fire in the rear yard of a property. A garden hose was used to extinguish the fire.

22:43 Skipton Road, Embsay, Skipton

A  rew from Skipton attended a fire in a back garden of a property. CRews extinghuished the fire, dampened down and gave advice. Two hose reel jets used

00:23 Cold Bath Road, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate attened a small fire in a arm chair caused by a dropped cigarette. The occupier had extinguished the fire prior to the crew's arrival. Crews ventilated the property and gave advice.

Two crews from Ripon attended a car on fire that spread to trees and bushes. 45m jet, two dry powder extinguishers and thermal imaging camera used. The cause is believed to be deliberate
