Incident Summary 20 April Night Shift

A crew from Acomb assisted paramedics gain entry to a property

19:07 Barlow Common Road, Barlow, Selby

A crew from Selby attended an incident where a car had crashed and landed on its side in the middle of the road. No-one was in the vehicle on the arrival of the crew.  The vehicle had been deliberately set on fire causing 100% fire damage.The attendeing crew used a hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus sets and a thermal imaging camera. The incident was left in the hands of the police.

20:26 Northstead Manor Gardens, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended a small fire to wood. They used a backpack sprayer and shovels to put the fire out

20:49 Selby

A crew from Selby attended an incident where a person had thought a young child was on a window ledge and may fall out of the window. On fire crew's arrival this was not the case and the child was safe. No action taken by fire crew.

20:52 Filey Country Park, Filey

A crew from Filey attended a small fire consisting of rubbish and wood. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish it.

20:56 Scalby Mills Road, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended a small campfire left unattended. It was extinguished by police prior to the arrival of the fire crew, who carried out an inspection only.

21:20 Blakey Lane, Sowerby

A crew from Thirsk attended a fire left unattended in a field. One hose reel jet used to extinguish the fire

1661 Spofforth- false alarm good intent

00:41 Bransdale Avenue, Romanby

Two crews from Northallerton attened a fire to a kitchen in a residential property. The fire is believed to have been caused by a charper for portable tyre pump that had been left switched on. The fire caused 100% smoke damage to the kitchen. Crews extinguished the fire, ventilated the property and isolated services (gas and electricity). Crews used two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet, positive pressure ventilation and thermal imaging camera.

A crew from Northallerton attended reports of flooding in a ground floor of a property. This turned out to be from a blocked toilet. Advice given only.
