Incident Summary –Day Shift– Friday 15th November 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Flooding – Holiday Park, near Scarborough

Time of call: 09:11

Crews from Scarborough and Sherburn responded to a request of flooding to approx. 12 holiday static caravans, with two occupied. Crews used a light portable pump and 14 lengths of hose, to attempt to reduce the water levels, and assisted x3 occupants from the X2 caravans, to alternate caravans.

Flooding in premises – Belford Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 09:38

Harrogate firecrew responded to a school with a flooded boiler room. Light portable pump used and advice given to have blocked drain cleared.

Overturned milk tanker – A169, Lockton

Time of call: 10:38

Crews from Pickering, Malton, Kirkbymoorside and Goathland responded to an overturned milk tanker. The driver, aged 60s, was out of vehicle and treat at scene as a precaution only. Firecrews stemmed leak of milk and engine coolant, and stood by till recovery and another empty milk tanker attended to recover the tanker and decant the majority of the milk which was still in the tanker.

RTC between a horsebox and a LGV – A19 Northbound near Exelby services.

Time of call: 13:39

Northallerton crews responded to what was a minor RTC involving a horsebox and LGV. No actions required by FB.

We also received a number of calls for automatic fire alarms throughout the county which have resulted in false alarms, at Skipton, Scarborough, York and Kirkbymoorside.
