Incident Summary –Night Shift– Friday 15th November 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

False alarm – York

Time of call: 1741 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to burnt toast.

 

False alarm – Strensall

Time of call: 2048 hours

A crew from Huntington has responded to a smoke alarm in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown fault.

 

Fire – Colburn

Time of call: 21:04

Crews from Colburn, Richmond and Leyburn responded to reports of a smell of smoke at a residential premises. Crews found this incident to be false alarm with good intent, with the smoke coming from other causes.

 

Chimney Fire – Leyburn

Time of call: 21:44

Our crew from Leyburn responded to reports of a chimney fire at a residential property. Crews used 1 x hose reel jet with chimney kit to extinguish, and a thermal imaging camera to investigate the incident. Crews also fitted a smoke alarm at the residence.

 

False alarm – Whitley Bridge

Time of call: 2327 hours

A crew from Selby has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown fault. Advice given to staff.

 

SS  Gain Entry (Ambulance) – Osgodby, Scarborough

Time of call: 00:27

Crews from Scarborough assisted the ambulance to gain entry into a property to assist the occupant. Crews used small tools and a gain kit.

 

Flooding – Yorkersgate, Malton

Time of call: 00:35

Crews from Malton responded to a commercial property with reports of flooding inside a premises affecting the electrics. Crews investigated the building but were unable to located the source of the leak. Advice given to staff on site.

 

False alarm – Harrogate

Time of call: 0514 hours

Crews from Harrogate have investigated reports of smoke coming from a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to steam from a boiler.

 

Fire – Harrogate

Time of call: 0644 hours

Crews from Harrogate, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge & Ripon are currently dealing with a fire in a basement property. *** INCIDENT ONGOING ***
